ACE Technology started its business in 1980 manufacturing
car phone antennas. Ever since then, ACE¡¯s employees, now numbering
more than 680 including 130 engineers, have been working toward
the advancement of the wireless industry.
ACE Technology had been developing antennas and RF components
for wireless and satellite communications. Now ACE¡¯s technical
expertise encompasses all areas of wireless communications.
ACE not only has developed and marketed base station antennas
for digital cellular telephones, RF components, power amplifiers,
and repeater systems, but also has become a Total Solution Provider
of communications and information technologies providing such
services as signal and cell site optimization for network design.
Leveraging its core technology, ACE also developed high-gain
omni-directional and directional antennas for PCS, RF components
such as Tx and Rx bandpass filters, RF switches, step attenuators,
ceramic combiners using high-Q dielectric resonators, and Cellular
and PCS repeater systems with anti-interference capabilities
using ICS technology. ACE also contributed to the advancement
of competitiveness in the Korean communication¡¯s technology
industry through their efforts in research and development.
In addition, ACE has successfully completed several research
projects. These include ¡°Development of technology to design
and manufacture filters for satellite broadcasting and communications¡±
and ¡°Development of highly efficient power amplifiers for mobile
communication base stations¡±, commissioned by the Ministry of
Industry and Natural Resources in its effort to develop an industrial
infrastructure. In carrying out these research projects, ACE
Technology gained technical expertise and experience in manufacturing
RF component such as bandpass filters, duplexers, cavity filters,
circulators, isolators, and high-efficiency, high-gain antennas.
ACE Technology is currently working with Korea¡¯s wireless
system providers in developing RF components for PCS and CDMA
wireless mobile systems. Through our efforts to sharpen international
competitiveness and increase overseas business, we have acquired
many international customers. We are supplying major international
telecommunications companies with our RF components. At present,
we have completed basic research of the emerging IMT-2000 World
Standard, preparing for the demand by system providers, both
domestic and abroad.

ACE TECHNOLOGY, as a global leader in the information
and communications industry, has been consistently investing
from 20 to 25% of its annual revenues in Research and Development
in order to provide state of the art products. A total of 110
researchers, which represent about 1/4 of our total work force,
including 21 with Ph.D. and Master's degrees are conducting
research in the areas of our core products and systems. Our
researchers are doing their utmost in development of state of
the art technology and continued customer satisfaction. The
R & D Lab is divided into four sections: Section 1 develops
base-station and portable antennas, Section 2 develops passive
RF components and systems, Section 3¡¯s efforts center around
repeater systems and other active RF components and systems,
and the fourth is Research Planning, which oversees technical
marketing, research planning, and various certifications.
